1 Cor 13:1-13
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (NKJ)
Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. (NKJ)
And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, (NKJ)
But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;
and indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more; (NKJ)
II Th 1:3
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, (NKJ)
Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, (NKJ)
Let brotherly love continue. (NKJ)
Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, (NKJ)
to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. (NKJ)
LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS...
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins. (NKJ)
A fool's wrath is known at once, but a prudent man covers shame. (NKJ)
He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends. (NKJ)
He who answers a matter before he hears it, it is folly and shame to him. (NKJ)
let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. (NKJ)
