The literary context of any portion of First Corinthians is the tracing of Paul's
argument and looking at what is the point of what he's saying (knowing that this letter is a Pauline Epistle - it's literary genre).
A text taken out of context becomes a pretext.
This course looks at the context in which each section is written and does not take any part of the letter out of that framework.
