The Corinthians are asked to judge among themselves

if it was 'proper' for a woman to wear a covering. They

would judge by cultural standards. 'Nature itself' shows

that the activity of not wearing a veil is shameful - this

refers to the nature of the culture at that time.

For a woman to have long hair is considered to be

glorious and for it to be covered in the Corinthian context

is the proper way.
