Read together 1 Peter 2:4-9 once more – we’ll look at
another aspect…. Jesus is called a ‘living stone’. In this study we will look at
eight points about this stone: four relating to unbelievers, and four relating
to those who believe.
How has Jesus been the rejected stone
in history ? How is He rejected today ? Give examples.
How does Jesus make people stumble
today ? Give examples.
Jesus
is seen as immovable in His people (Israel & Church). Talk about this and
give examples.
What
does this passage of Scripture reveal about this stone’s historical effect ?
Discuss.
How
has Jesus been tried and tested ? What does this mean for us ?
How
precious is Jesus to you ? Why ?
Can we be sure of our salvation when Jesus is our
foundation ? Why ? Talk about it.
We
become living stones with Him & part of His Temple . What does this mean to
you ?
End
the time by reading Luke 20:18 and discuss how this relates to the above
points.
