Location: Jezreel Description: Recently anointed as Israel's new king at Ramoth Gilead, Jehu rode through this Harod Valley towards Jezreel (site in the foreground). King Joram sent two messengers down the valley to determine Jehu's motives. When neither messenger returned, Joram went himself and was struck down by Jehu's arrow(2 Kgs 9:17-26). Mt. Gilboa is on the right. |
