The women in the Corinthian Church were opposing the wearing of veils because of their wrong idea of CHRISTIAN FREEDOM and their emphasis on the ALREADY

They felt they could rise up above their culture and claim their FREEDOM IN CHRIST in the here and now! However, they did not have the right attitude in this and were unloving and proud in their actions (as discussed in the section of Christian Freedom).
